Ludhiana: Minerva Academy FC registered their second win in ongoing 2nd Division League with scoreline 2-1 in favour against Lonestar Kashmir FC in their Round-3 Western Conference tie held at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana on Sunday.

Minerva AFC drew the first blood through local lad Jagpreet Singh only for Iffam Tariq to restore the parity for Kashmir FC but a second-half strike from Nigerian playmaker Alhassan Dahir Bala settled the issue for Minerva AFC in their first home game of the league.

The win takes Minerva AFC at the summit of league table with 6 points from two games.

Elsewhere, a 10-man Kenkre FC rallied to hold PIFA Sports FC 1-1 in other Western Conference fixture played at the All Saints School Ground in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra on Sunday.

PIFA took a early lead through Rishad P.P. in the 12th minute but Francisco Dominic’s 33rd minute goal earned a point for Kenkre FC in an away game.
