MUMBAI: India’s next “Deadball Specialist” Isaac Vanmalsawma has been dropped out unceremoniously from the Indian Natinal Team’s Preparatory Camp in Mumbai, because of an interview with KHELNOW.COM, as according to AIFF rules and regulations no player is allowed to give interview to media while in the National Camp.
Although both Isaac and his interviewer has claimed that the interview was conducted during an I-League match, which is also a matter of debate, and was only published on Tuesday but the damage has been already done.

India Natinal Team currently undergoing a preparatory camp at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai for the International Friendly against Cambodia on March 22 in Phnom Penh before taking on Myanmar on March 28 in their AFC Asian Cup Qualifying campaign opener and Isaac was named among the 31 probables.
Isaac got his first senior team call in the AFC Asia Cup 2019 Qualifiers Camp in May 2016, but could not make into the final squad. However, later that year the 20-year-old donned the India shirt against Bhutan in a unofficial match.
Therefore, The Mizo winger is yet to make his senior India debut, but after some brilliant performances for Shillong Lajong FC in the ongoing I-League it was only a matter of time for him to make international debut before insensitivity from our side (read a section of media) cost him a place in the National Team.
