Vasco, Goa: Salgaocar Football Club will look towards tomorrow’s fixture against Aizawl FC in the Hero I-League as they hope to put the past behind them at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco.

Having played 4 games and not moving up from the bottom spot, the Greens will look to pick up their first points of the season against the travelling Highlanders.

Aizawl FC, however, also not far away after having lost 2 and winning of their opening fixtures will look to pick up a victory.

Speaking in his 1st pre-match press conference the new head coach of Salgaocar Santosh Kashyap had this to say “Salgoacar had a bad patch, could be due to travelling, fatigue or other concerns. I think that the bad pitch is finished of Salgaocar and we will start from tomorrow. It is always challenging, football is a challenging game.”

He also stated in addition to this that it doesn’t matter when a coach take up the team, he feels the coach has to plan accordingly and try to do his best.

The home side has just signed on Eder Monteiro Fernandes who might make an appearance in the game tomorrow.

On the other hand Aizawl FC head coach Manuel Fraile, shared his ambitions & concerns before the game, “I always play for 3 points, we may draw or loose afterwards but I want to play for 3 points.”

He also added “I know it is difficult, it is a long travel, the weather is nice to enjoy for the holidays but we are here to play football & win the game.”

The coach also hinted he will not be on the defensive and will not play it safe. He will play with a balanced team & look to get the win tomorrow.

The game is scheduled to begin at 04:00 PM here at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco tomorrow.
