Goa, 18th August 2015: Goa Pro League side Laxmi Prasad SC have signed three former Mumbai FC players Climax Lawrance, Nicholas Rodrigues and Kunal Sawant.
Former India skipper Climax Lawrence, who represented the national team 81 occasions. The 36-year old midfielder started his career at Salgaocar in 1999 where speant five seasons before joining East Bengal in 2004 and a season later he moved to Dempo where he won I-league five times. However in 2013 Lawrence moved to Mumbai FC where he speant a couple of seasons.
Nicholas Rodrigues is the second player to join the Goan Outfit from Mumbai FC. The 32-year old midfielder played for the likes of Salgaocar, Sporting CG and Churchill Brothers before moving to Mumbai FC in 2010.
Kunal Sawant is the third played to sign by the Goan club, the 28-year old goalkeeper speant two seasons at Mumbai FC after moving from Air India in 2012.
Laxmi Prasad who finished second in Goa Pro League last year, building a storng team this time around, have also signed former India International Mickey Fernandes.
Meanwhile according to a report published in FootballMasala.com, the club is also signing an Italian player.
