GOA: The Goa Football Association will be conducting seminars on Amendments to the LAWS OF THE GAME 2016-17 on 7th and 8th August.
The seminar for South Goan clubs will be held at the Conference Hall of PJN Stadium from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm 7th August 2016. All commissioners from South Goa are also requested to attend the seminar.
While the seminar for North Goan clubs will take place on 14th August at Duler Stadium from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. All Match Commissioners from North Goa are requested to attend the seminar as well.
KOLKATA: Calcutta Premier Division-A side George Telegraph has completed the signing of Nigerian forward Babatunde Ayomide Badmus. Babatunde had previously played for the likes of ONGC, Rangdajied United and Royal Wahingdoh and Gangtok Himalayn SC.
KOLKATA: Calcutta Premier Division-A side George Telegraph has completed the signing of Ghanaian defender John Kweku Ampong and Ivorian striker Bayi Kamo Stephane. John plied his trade at Ghana based club Wassaman United while Kamo used to play for Nigerian club Akwa Starlet FC.
Gangtok: I-League 2nd Division side Gangtok Himalayan SC on Wednesday have announced the appointment of Praney Subba as their new Head Coach for the upcoming season.
KOLKATA: East Bengal have signed defender Deepak Kumar ahead of the forthcoming Calcutta Football League. By joining East Bengal, Deepak have joined the elite club of players who have played for all three Kolkata giants. Earlier, Deepak have played for the likes of Mohun Bagan, Bhawanipore Club, Kenkre FC and Mohammedan Sporting Club.
KOLKATA: Kolkata giants Mohammedan Sporting Club have acquired the services of defender Mobin Rai and midfielder Nitesh Chhikara, respectively from Gangtok Himalayan SC and Minerva Academy FC.

GOA: Dempo SC makes to the finale of the Bandodkar Gold Trophy 2016 after defeating Churchill Brothers 4-0 in the semifinal played at Navelim Ground in Goa on Monday. Veegan Ferrao, Vineet Bugde, Jason Lucas and Kapil Hoble scored for the Golden Eagles. Dempo’s Assumption Soares was awarded the man of thr match award.
INTERNATIONAL DESK: AFC Disciplinary Committee has provisionally suspended Thai referees Thanom Borikut and Chaiya Mahapab for 60 days for alleged actions related to match-fixing.
The investigation is ongoing and the AFC may extend the ban for further 30 days. The AFC has also written to FIFA to ask for the suspension to be extended worldwide. The Football Association of Thailand has been notified of the decisions today.
NEW DELHI: According to the decision taken by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, three (3) points have been deducted from Mohammedan Sporting Club’s tally from the Second Division League 2015-16 season Final Round.
This decision has been taken since Mohammedan Sporting Club failed to pay the contracted remuneration to the player, Samuel Shore.

NEW DELHI: The Official Emblem and Slogan for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2016 was unveiled in an event held today, at the Laguna Hotel in Port Moresby. The event coincided with International Women’s Day, which was a perfect fit for the tournament that aims to inspire and encourage girls and women through football. The eighth edition of the competition, which will be held from 13 November to 3 December, will take place in Papua New Guinea’s capital, Port Moresby.
KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting Club have completed the signing of former Zimbabwe youth International Simbarashe Gate.
The Kwekwe-born striker started his professional career at the now defunct Lancashire Steel before turning out for Mwana Africa, Zimbabwe Saints, Highlanders and Masvingo United in the local Premiership.
This will be the second stint at Kolkata for Simbarashe who joined the club in February 2013 but did not touched the ball as then Mohammedan coach Sanjoy Sen rejected him after signing Moroccan striker Younes Baltham.
