IMPHAL, MANIPUR: Two days after signing Arata Izumi, Neroca FC have made yet another inclusion in the midfield by signing local lad Thangjam Saran Singh on a season long loan deal from ISL side Mumbai City FC.
A well known name in India’s football circuit, Saran who can play as both central midfielder and winger, will look to lend his experience to the Manipur-based side.
The 29-year-old has started his career in 2007 with Churchill Brothers where he spent a couple of seasons before moving to JCT in 2009. He returned to Churchill in 2010 and during his second spell with the Goan club he enjoyed a lot of success and won the I-League, Federation Cup, IFA Shield and Durand Cup.
In 2014, Saran joined Salgaocar FC. His most notable contribution to the club was scoring the winner in 2014 Durand Cup final against Pune FC. He has also had a brief stint at Mohun Bagan in 2016. Saran has turned out for Mumbai City FC in Indian Super League.
